I am a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coach Federation and approach coaching as a thoughtful, structured partnership—one grounded in clarity, accountability, and intentional decision-making. My work is less about techniques and more about helping leaders slow down enough to see clearly, choose wisely, and act with commitment.I am an executive coach with over four decades of leadership experience and more than thirteen years of professional coaching practice. Over the course of my career, I have worked with senior leaders in large corporations, mid-size and small organizations, universities, nonprofit organizations, and with individuals navigating complex professional and personal transitions.
Before becoming a coach, I spent forty years in business leadership roles across the financial services and healthcare industries, including extensive work in client engagement, strategic planning, and organizational leadership. That experience continues to inform my coaching, particularly my appreciation for the real pressures leaders carry and the consequences of the choices they make.

These themes are also reflected in my writing and my art. I am the author of The Art of Choice: Making Changes That Count in Work and Life, a book that explores how thoughtful decisions shape both leadership and personal growth. As a landscape painter, I spend time observing the natural world — a practice that continually reminds me of the value of patience, perspective, and paying attention. Both writing and painting deepen the same habits of reflection and awareness that I bring into my coaching conversations.
At this stage of my career, I maintain a small, intentionally limited coaching practice. I work with a select number of leaders, MBA students, and mission-driven organizations, accepting new engagements by referral or conversation rather than volume. This allows the work to remain personal, focused, and meaningful for everyone involved.
I believe leadership is shaped not only by skill and experience, but by reflection, self-awareness, and the courage to make choices that align with one’s values. Coaching, at its best, creates space for that kind of work.

Having spent some four decades in corporate America, I value the importance of measurable results. Toward that end, I start every new client engagement with an assessment that measures how people make judgments. It is one of the key inputs for establishing expected outcomes for our coaching relationship. We revisit the analysis at the end of our time together to gauge any changes. This is just one of the tools I have available to me to ensure that our work produces real-world, practical applications.
